Chris DePascale's "Race specialties 4-Link" Dragster Paint Job
This page contains pictures and information on making a custom paint job.

Body work
Before doing any painting you must complete your body work. Shown here is an area that has had some body work and has been covered with a fill and sand primer. After spraying the "URO Primer (from dupont) I then dust a overspray of flat black spray paint, for when sanding you may see the low, unsanded areas.
Sanding
When sanding it is good to be very careful on all areas that you sand. The better the prep work the better the paint job.
Pay attention to what you are doing
Do not allow anyone to distract you from your work.
Feel the areas with a flat hand
Feeling the areas will let you know the imperfections that you cant see until it is too late
Taping off areas
Be sure to tape off all areas. This doesnt just avoid primer and paint in unwanted areas but also does not allow dust to blow out into freshly painted surfaces.
Wipe down all surfaces
Be sure to wipe down all surfaces with a good wax and grease remover to keep unwanted chemicals from ruining your paint job from the inside out.
Epoxy
The next step is to apply a good quality "epoxy" primer. This is used to seal down all imperfections in all ground coats.
